Seylynn
|
* Outdoor: concrete
* Free park
* Snake Run
* Rating: Mo' curves than a Victoria Secret catalog
And that's damn curvy...
Naked supermodels aside, you should definitely try to skate Seylynn. We covered this little gem during our trip to Canada for SlamCityJam. To flashback to the 80's, this place is totally rad. Great lines, steep walls, nice trannies, and so much potential it'll probably take you a couple visits just to get the bond on w/ this delicious little piece o' 'crete.
If you like this stuff, check out the snake runs at Whiterock, Whistler, and Griffin. You've also got great rides nearby at Parkgate, Kirkstone and Hastings.
In case you're one of those comparison shoppers, you could safely file Seylynn between California's Santa Rosa and Greer skateparks in terms of gigginess. Start w/ bowls and hips, subtract the coping, multiply by curvature of the main bowl and you have one of Nor-Van's finest. Rip it up, children - and send in the footy.
Directions: From Vancouver take Highway 1 north, exit Mountain Highway and head south. The park is on the right at the intersection of Hunter and Mountain Highway.
